PEDDINGHAUS HAMMER

Marking: "300" Cogwheel, note: gear had 13 cogs

Note: any hammer with "DIN" marking is not original Pre-A. The "DIN" engraving indicates 1960's or newer. In addition, the newer hammer's gear cog engraving had 16 cogs.

Decal: Peddinghaus decal

Size: "The handles were up to 300mm in length and made from either ash or hickory to DIN standard 5111." -R.A.

DIN standard 1041

Early Hammers with the DIN marking did not have the "DIN" engraved in the face of the hammer, rather they had a "DIN 1041" Decal applied to the hammer as evidenced by these photos courtesy of Victor Ingram. Note that there are 16 cogs on the cogwheel engraved on the hammer face.
