Marking: "300" Cogwheel, note: gear had 13 cogs
Note: any hammer with "DIN" marking is not original Pre-A. The "DIN" engraving indicates 1960's or newer. In addition, the newer hammer's gear cog engraving had 16 cogs.

Size: "The handles were up to 300mm in length and made from either ash or hickory to DIN standard 5111." -R.A.

USES:
The long-discussed topic of the purpose of the hammer was concluded to be, to break the beads of the tube-type tires. Thanks to research provided by Victor Ingram, we see the Hammer utilized in several repairs in the 1954 Porsche Workshop Manual:
