Please note, this information is in conflict with Eric C's site; "This kit was unique to early A cars, produced in late 1955 and early 1956."

Annectodaly, if your car had horn grills, then it would have this bag and not the previous bag with 8 pockets in the main section and 3 pockets on the upper flap.

Another Red Bag
This tool kit appeared for sale in a 1960 356B. But looking carefully at the photos of the tool kit, we see the following:
-Bag:
-Vinyl Pattern consistent with other Early A
bags
-strap on the bag is cut like the "Early A"
bags with a pointed tip
-Early A Stubby
-Early A Long Flat with "1661" clearly visible
-Wrenches with a darker nickel finish
-Lug wrench with release button opposite socket, indicative of pre-A or Early A lug wrench
-Spark plug with black body, black-bodied are pre-1960

CONCLUSION: Although this tool kit appeared for sale in a 1960 356B, this was most definitely an "Early A" tool kit
